Ingredients
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:
2 large carrots shredded
1 egg
1 stick margarine (Fleishman ‘s original recommended)
2 cups flour (Gold Medal all-purpose recommended)
1/2 tea spoon salt
1/2 tea spoon baking powder
FILLING:
3 cups white cabbage shredded
2 large tomatoes sliced and salted
1 large sweet onion sliced
50 gram sweet butter
3 large potatoes shredded salted to taste
Olive oil for baking pan

Preparation time: 25 min
Baking time: 35 min
Directions
INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:
Mix well shredded carrots with egg, margarine, flour, salt and baking powder. Divide dough into two parts.
FILLING:
In non stick pan sauté shredded cabbage in olive oil for 10 min. Cool
Place one part of the dough in oiled baking pan. Arrange filling in layers: first place sauté cabbage, topped with small pieces of 25 grams sweet butter. Spread half of sliced onion, then salted tomatoes, salted shredded potatoes, then rest of the sliced onion and top with 25 grams of sweet butter. Top with the second part of dough. Secure edges and place in preheated oven at 360°F for 35 min. Serve hot or cold.
